Clinical Nurse – Prison Health Services (Full/Part Time)

About the role
The Department of Justice is seeking experienced Clinical Nurses to join its Prison Health Services at Bandyup Women’s Prison and Boronia Pre‑Release Centre for Women. You will provide clinical leadership, direct patient care and health promotion within a secure custodial environment.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive clinical assessments and direct nursing care to inmates.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high‑quality health services.
- Manage primary health care, chronic disease, blood‑borne virus and women’s health issues.
- Promote health education and preventative programmes.
- Maintain a secure environment and comply with Department of Justice policies and procedures.
Required profile
- Australian citizen or permanent resident.
- Current Working with Children Check.
- Registered Nurse qualification with eligibility for registration by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Demonstrated experience in clinical nursing within a correctional or similar setting.
