Client Onboarding Associate

About the role

LGT Wealth Management is seeking a detail‑oriented Client Onboarding Associate on a 24‑month fixed‑term contract. The role supports the onboarding of new clients and accounts within the Advisory business, ensuring a compliant and seamless experience from the first interaction.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and coordinate digital and physical onboarding documentation for a variety of account structures and entity types.
• Identify documentation requirements early to enable timely account opening.
• Review returned documentation for completeness, accuracy and consistency before submission to Operations.
• Manage information gaps by proactively following up with advisers, associates and other stakeholders.
• Support collection, review and recording of KYC information, including customer identification, beneficial ownership, source of wealth and source of funds.
• Review FATCA and CRS documentation, assist with complex client structures and escalate issues as needed.
• Identify potential onboarding risks, inconsistencies and red flags and raise them according to established procedures.
• Partner with Operations, Financial Crime and other teams to resolve compliance‑related matters.
• Contribute to process improvements using technology, automation and AI‑enabled tools.

Required profile

• Experience in client services, operations or similar roles within a professional environment.
• Understanding of client onboarding and service delivery processes.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to review and validate information accurately.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder relationships.
• Working knowledge of KYC, AML/CTF and client due diligence requirements in financial services or wealth management.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce or a related field (preferred).
