Civil Supervisor – Construction Projects

About the role

BMD is seeking an experienced Civil Supervisor to join its Urban division in South Australia. You will work closely with the Project Manager to drive productivity, ensure safety, and deliver high‑quality infrastructure outcomes across a range of sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Lead on‑site civil construction teams, coordinating daily activities and resources.
• Monitor progress against program schedules and adjust plans to meet deadlines.
• Maintain a safe work environment and enforce health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
• Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve issues promptly.
• Prepare and submit daily reports, progress updates and quality documentation.

Required profile

• Certificate III in Civil Construction (or equivalent).
• Proven supervisory experience in civil construction projects.
• Strong commitment to health, safety, environmental and quality outcomes.
• Self‑starter attitude with a focus on delivering value‑for‑money results.

Required skills

• Knowledge of civil construction methods for water & wastewater, roads, urban development and renewable energy projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Effective team leadership and communication skills.
