Civil Designer

About the role

KBR is seeking an experienced Civil Designer to join the Suburban Rail Loop East Linewide Alliance team in Melbourne. You will lead technical design activities and mentor junior staff while delivering complex civil infrastructure for a major rail project.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership to designers and drafters on civil design and modelling.
• Develop concept and detailed designs for underground tunnels, stations and associated infrastructure.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary design activities and ensure compliance with Australian Standards.
• Review, verify and approve design outputs and models.

Required profile

• Diploma in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• 3‑4 years of civil design and drafting experience in infrastructure projects.
• Experience mentoring and developing junior designers.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
