About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Chief Executive Officer to lead the next phase of growth for a scientific, innovation and investment organisation that bridges research, government, industry and capital. The CEO will champion the commercialisation of breakthrough technologies and steer the organisation toward sustainable commercial impact.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, assess and translate scientific opportunities into market‑ready products and services.
• Build and nurture strategic partnerships across government, industry, research institutions and investors.
• Oversee investment decisions and portfolio management to ensure high‑impact outcomes.
• Lead business development and deal‑making activities that drive revenue and scale.
• Represent the organisation publicly and influence policy and stakeholder agendas.

Required profile

• Proven track record in commercialising innovative technologies and closing high‑value deals.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing abilities across multiple sectors.
• Strong leadership experience at senior executive level.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in biosciences, agriculture, biotechnology, medtech or a comparable scientific discipline, or equivalent experience.
