Category Strategy Leader

About the role

Mars is seeking a Category Strategy Leader to shape category growth across all channels, translating shopper and consumer insights into actionable plans that drive sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead 1–3‑year category strategies, optimizing range, space, pricing, promotions and trade execution.
• Partner with Customer Teams to create compelling trade sell stories and influence point‑of‑purchase execution.
• Conduct deep‑dive analyses of market performance and translate insights into growth opportunities.
• Provide consultative input on new product development to ensure alignment with category strategy and portfolio goals.

Required profile

• Proven experience in Category Management within FMCG, with strong customer‑facing exposure.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills, able to turn data into actionable insights.
• Excellent influencing, negotiation and communication abilities.
• Solid commercial and financial acumen, including P&L, pricing, promotions and portfolio management.
