Casual School Crossing Supervisor

About the role

Greater Dandenong City Council is seeking expressions of interest for casual School Crossing Supervisors to help school students and other members of the community cross busy roads safely around schools. The work is casual, across the municipality, sometimes at short notice, in morning and afternoon shifts of about one hour each, on designated school days as and when required.

Key responsibilities

• Assist school students and other pedestrians when crossing busy roads around schools
• Make responsible decisions and communicate with young children
• Accept responsibility for children and other pedestrians under your care in all weathers

Required profile

• Reliable and punctual
• Own vehicle and smartphone
• Well presented
• Able to work outdoors and be a visible part of the community
• Clear Working with Children Check and consent to a national police check (and, where relevant, an international criminal history check)
