Casual Occupational Therapist

About the role

The Occupational Therapist will support injured or ill workers to regain functional capacity and independence in daily activities at home and in the community. This casual position offers flexible hours to fit around your schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive ADL assessments to evaluate functional abilities and support needs.
• Liaise with employers, case managers, medical professionals, and insurers to provide clinical updates and align rehabilitation goals.
• Make recommendations for equipment, home modifications, or support services based on assessment findings.
• Prepare timely, high‑quality reports outlining findings, recommendations, and clinical reasoning.
• Educate clients and families on adaptive strategies, energy conservation, and safe task performance.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy.
• Full professional registration with AHPR.
• Excellent communication skills and empathy.
• Current driver’s licence and access to a fully insured vehicle.
