Casual Breakfast Cook (2 positions)

About the role

Join the kitchen team at Novotel Devonport and help deliver a vibrant breakfast service for our guests. Two casual breakfast cook positions are available to support early‑morning operations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and organise mise en place to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
• Assist with food preparation across all service periods and maintain high standards of food quality and presentation.
• Keep the work area clean, organised and hygienic, following food safety standards and supporting stock rotation.
• Receive, check and store deliveries in line with procedures and support the wider kitchen team for efficient service.

Required profile

• Food Handling Certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
• Previous experience in a commercial kitchen is preferred, but entry‑level applicants will be considered.
• Basic knife skills and ability to prepare ingredients safely and efficiently.
• Strong communication, teamwork, reliability and motivation to learn.
• Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends and public holidays.
