Business Impact Manager

About the role

The Business Impact Manager will join Oliver Wyman's APR Business Impact Team (BIT) in Sydney, supporting regional practice leaders in business development, internal management and the implementation of global best‑practice processes.

Key responsibilities

• Support practice heads with day‑to‑day management, communications, and material development for regional and global meetings.
• Coordinate and drive execution of special projects aligned to strategic priorities, leveraging resources across regional teams and the wider firm.
• Act as central point of contact for practice staff, partners and support functions, ensuring effective practice management and compliance.
• Manage internal practice meetings, agendas, calendars and follow‑up actions, including partner meetings and off‑site events.
• Provide commercial effectiveness support, including client/business development assistance, RFP management and key client account strategy.
• Champion regional and global best‑practice process implementation, supporting annual reviews, partner year‑end processes and other critical business processes.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in consulting or professional services, preferably within financial services.
• Strong background in strategic project management and high‑level stakeholder management.
• Excellent communication, organizational and presentation skills with a focus on detail.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality on business‑critical issues.
• Resilient, collaborative team player with a problem‑solving mindset and execution focus.
