Business Impact Manager

About the role

The Business Impact Manager will join Oliver Wyman's APR Business Impact Team (BIT) in Sydney, supporting regional practice leaders in financial services. The role drives business development, internal management, and the implementation of global and regional best‑practice processes.

Key responsibilities

• Support practice heads with day‑to‑day management tasks, communications, and material development for regional and global meetings.
• Act as central contact for practice staff, track actions, and ensure follow‑up on PMO initiatives.
• Coordinate special projects aligned with strategic priorities, leveraging resources across regional teams and the wider firm.
• Provide commercial effectiveness support, including client development, pipeline analysis, RFP management, and key client account strategy.
• Champion regional and global best‑practice implementation, such as annual key‑client reviews and partner year‑end processes.
• Collaborate with finance, knowledge management, talent analytics, and marketing to produce MIS reports and support budgeting and investment tracking.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in a consulting or professional services firm, preferably within financial services.
• Strong background in strategic project management and high‑level stakeholder engagement.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, maintain confidentiality, and make decisions under pressure.
