Business Development Manager - Utilities

About the role

Drive growth within Aggreko's Utilities sector across Australia, focusing on power generation, renewable energy, BESS, microgrids, grid support, water infrastructure and Energy‑as‑a‑Service solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic growth plans for the Utilities sector.
• Identify and secure new opportunities across power generation, renewable energy, BESS, microgrids and grid support applications.
• Build strong relationships with utility, energy, water and infrastructure customers.
• Manage a robust sales pipeline to achieve revenue and margin targets.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, estimating and proposal teams to deliver customer‑focused solutions.
• Monitor market developments, regulatory changes and energy transition trends to identify new opportunities.

Required profile

• 10+ years' experience in utilities, energy, power generation, infrastructure or related industries.
• Strong understanding of the National Electricity Market (NEM) and transmission/distribution networks.
• Demonstrated success in business development and strategic sales.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
• Commercially astute with ability to manage complex opportunities and long sales cycles.
• Willingness to travel throughout Australia as required.
