Business Development Manager

About the role

Hellmann Worldwide Logistics is seeking an energetic Business Development Manager to join its Adelaide office. You will drive new customer acquisition, maintain existing relationships, and contribute to the company’s growth in the logistics sector.

Key responsibilities

• Obtain new customers and maintain existing ones to meet sales targets.
• Design and implement a strategic sales plan to expand the customer base within target verticals.
• Grow the sales pipeline by prospecting, identifying and evaluating new opportunities.
• Gather market data and competitive intelligence through customer interaction and other sources.
• Develop strong relationships with key target customers across decision‑making matrices.
• Collaborate with operational and solutions teams to create commercially attractive solutions.
• Lead contract negotiations and highlight any operational or commercial risks.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar business development or sales role within the logistics industry.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and strong negotiation abilities.
• Professional presentation skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
