Business Development Manager – Commercial & Industrial Solar & BESS (WA)

About the role

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to lead growth of Commercial & Industrial (C&I) solar photovoltaic (PV) and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) solutions across Western Australia. You will join a globally recognised renewable energy manufacturer and play a pivotal role in expanding market share and building strategic partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Drive sales of C&I solar PV and BESS solutions throughout Western Australia.
• Identify, develop and secure new business opportunities within the commercial energy market.
• Build and maintain relationships with distributors, installers, EPCs and other channel partners.
• Develop and execute territory growth strategies to increase market penetration.
• Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to contract award.
• Maintain a strong pipeline and consistently achieve sales targets.
• Represent the company at industry events, customer meetings and networking functions.
• Provide regular market intelligence and competitor insights.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience selling solar PV and/or BESS solutions in Western Australia.
• Established network across installers, distributors, EPCs or the broader renewable energy market.
• Proven hunter mentality with a track record of winning new business.
• Experience in a solar, battery, inverter, energy storage or related technology manufacturer is highly regarded.
• Strong commercial acumen and relationship‑building skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage a WA territory.
• Project management experience is a plus.
