Business Development Executive

About the role

Mintel is seeking a motivated Business Development Executive to generate new business opportunities for its market‑leading insights and research solutions. You will work closely with commercial teams to connect FMCG and consumer‑goods companies with the intelligence they need to make better decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and prospect new business opportunities within target markets.
• Execute outbound campaigns via phone, email, LinkedIn and other social platforms.
• Schedule qualified meetings to support pipeline growth and revenue generation.
• Act as the first point of contact for inbound leads, qualify them and convert them into sales opportunities.
• Maintain accurate records of all prospect interactions in the CRM system.
• Engage key decision‑makers across Marketing, Innovation, Insights and R&D functions.
• Conduct discovery conversations to understand client challenges and business needs.

Required profile

• Resilient, proactive and commercially driven.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to manage a high volume of leads and multiple priorities.
• Curious with strong discovery and questioning abilities.
