Business Development Executive, Commercial Insurance

About the role

Join a leading mutual commercial property insurer as a Business Development Executive, driving growth across the APAC region. You will build and maintain relationships with prospective clients and brokers to generate new business opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve new business objectives set by the Regional Sales Manager.
• Develop and execute call plans, ensuring prospect information is updated in the Strategic Relationship System (SRS).
• Maintain active involvement in the local insurance and brokerage community through meetings, conferences, and industry events.
• Monitor competitors' products, pricing strategies, and market practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
• At least 8 years of experience in risk management, loss prevention engineering, claims or underwriting.
• Strong knowledge of sales processes and proven sales experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong interpersonal and presentation abilities.
• Effective planning, organizational and time‑management skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
• Experience using the Strategic Relationship System (SRS) or similar CRM tools.
