Business Development Director – BFSI

About the role

Endava is seeking a Business Development Director to lead the sale of bespoke IT services to Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI) clients. This individual contributor role is ideal for a hunter who can source and close large‑scale technology engagements, leveraging AI and digital services.

Key responsibilities

• Shape and execute a business development strategy to exceed revenue targets for BFSI accounts.
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospects, positioning Endava’s AI‑native delivery model and partner ecosystem.
• Own the end‑to‑end sales process, from prospecting and cold‑calling to negotiating and closing complex contracts.
• Act as the subject‑matter expert on technology challenges within BFSI, using partner solutions such as OpenAI, Databricks, Snowflake and hyperscalers.
• Collaborate with internal technical SMEs and international teams to deliver comprehensive client solutions.
• Represent Endava at industry events as a participant and moderator.

Required profile

• Proven business development experience selling strategic enterprise technology services to BFSI clients.
• Strong network of contacts or previous customers within the BFSI sector.
• Hunter‑mindset with a track record of net‑new logo acquisition and meeting sales targets.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills with senior executives and C‑level decision‑makers.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of AI and digital services trends in BFSI.
• Experience with partner platforms: OpenAI, Databricks, Snowflake, and major hyperscalers.
• Familiarity with Endava’s AI‑native delivery model Dava.Flow.
