Bookkeeper / Finance Officer

About the role

Smartline Medical is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper / Finance Officer to join its growing team on the Sunshine Coast. The role works closely with the directors and supports finance, production, and sales functions in a fast‑paced SME environment.

Key responsibilities

• Process weekly accounts payable and receivable, including supplier invoices and payments.
• Manage debt collection and customer accounts.
• Oversee weekly cash‑flow management and reporting.
• Perform bank and credit‑card reconciliations.
• Prepare and lodge BAS and PAYG.
• Handle payroll and superannuation.
• Produce financial and management reports.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Maintain accurate financial records.
• Assist with general administration (approximately 60% finance, 40% admin).

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of bookkeeping or finance experience.
• Relevant bookkeeping or accounting qualifications (preferred).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Effective communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Positive, proactive attitude and ability to work well in a small team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Xero accounting software.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems (Ostendo experience valued).
• Basic SQL / database knowledge.
