Bar Barista (Afternoon Shift)

About the role

A Qantas Lounge operated by Accor in Mascot is looking for a full-time Bar Barista for the afternoon shift. The role provides efficient, friendly and professional service to lounge guests, with a focus on excitement and a genuine passion for customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Brew coffee and espresso drinks (lattes, cappuccinos, americanos, etc.) and serve alcoholic drinks such as cocktails, beer, wine and mixed drinks, following standard recipes and adjusting to customer preferences.
• Greet customers, take orders and answer questions about the menu.
• Clean and sanitise coffee machines, the bar space, countertops, seating areas and barware, and follow health and safety guidelines.
• Monitor stock of coffee beans, milk, syrups, alcohol and other ingredients, replenish supplies and inform management of low stock.
• Work with servers, kitchen staff and bartenders, assisting during peak hours.

Required profile

• Current RSA.
• Experience in a fast-paced, busy environment and in making coffees and alcoholic beverages.
• Motivated, enthusiastic about food and drink, able to work autonomously and in a team, and flexible to rostered shifts including early mornings, evenings and weekends.
• Ability to obtain Federal Police clearance for work in restricted airport areas.
