Associate – Tax

About the role

Join Bartier Perry’s award‑winning Private Clients team in Sydney as an Associate – Tax. You will work on a diverse portfolio of private client matters, providing strategic tax advice and building trusted relationships with clients and referrers.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver federal and state taxation advice, including trusts, superannuation and estate planning.
• Manage tax disputes, audits, objections and negotiations with the ATO and Revenue NSW.
• Develop and implement trust, company and asset‑protection structures.
• Support business succession, family business advisory and intergenerational wealth transfers.

Required profile

• 4‑6 years post‑qualification experience in a reputable law or accounting firm.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Commercial, pragmatic approach with meticulous attention to detail.
• Willingness to undertake further tax studies.
