Legal Counsel – Corporate / Investment Funds

About the role

An established financial services business is expanding its legal team and seeks two Legal Counsel to join in Brisbane and Sydney. The role offers a chance to specialise in investment funds while working in a hybrid model.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with the establishment, structuring and ongoing management of a broad range of investment funds and managed investment schemes.
• Draft and review fund constitutions, trust deeds, disclosure documents and other investment product documentation.
• Provide advice on corporate, commercial and regulatory matters related to investment products.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external advisers on new fund launches and product changes.
• Interpret and apply financial services legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Support the broader legal team on commercial agreements, transactions and other legal matters.

Required profile

• 3–5 years post‑admission experience in a reputable law firm or in‑house legal team.
• Strong drafting skills and commercial judgement.
• Interest in financial markets and willingness to develop expertise in investment funds.

Required skills

• Corporate and commercial law knowledge.
• Understanding of investment fund structures and regulatory frameworks.
