Area Sales Manager - Services

About the role

Sulzer is looking for an Area Sales Manager to join its Services team in Queensland. The role manages a team of sales representatives, sets sales goals and ensures the team meets performance targets, while supporting the execution of sales strategies and providing coaching and development. It suits people managers of 4+ experienced to senior expert-level employees.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out sales activities and develop customer strategic plans that maximise efficiency and sales opportunities in line with the company's technical capability and Australia's strategic plans.
• Manage new and existing customers within the assigned market to grow the Services business.
• Visit and liaise with customers on a predetermined schedule, by face-to-face meetings, phone, email, online meetings and digital platforms.
• Review KPIs every quarter to assess and improve sales performance.
• Use the CRM fully to manage customer opportunities and account details, building a reliable and accurate pipeline to meet the Order Intake budget.
• Organise, take part in and support marketing and networking events.
• Perform other ad hoc duties as required.

Required profile

• Previous experience with rotating equipment (electric motors, generators and alternators) across the power, mining and general industries.
• 5+ years of experience in sales roles.
• Ability to travel more than 30% of the time.
