Apprenticeships Field Consultant

About the role

MEGT's Apprentice Connect Provider division is looking for an Apprenticeships Field Consultant based in Toowoomba, Queensland. The role promotes and supports Australian Apprenticeships by working with employers and apprentices to facilitate National Training Contracts, advise on support services and incentives, and build long-term relationships in the region. It is a field-based position suited to someone who enjoys relationship management.

Key responsibilities

• Sign up apprentices and trainees to National Training Contracts
• Educate employers and apprentices on support services, incentives and funding
• Build relationships with schools, RTOs, industry and community stakeholders
• Deliver presentations and information sessions at schools, community events and workplaces
• Support business development to grow apprenticeship commencements
• Monitor progress, spot risks to retention or completion and refer to support services
• Manage time across engagement, administration and KPIs, and stay up to date with legislation, policies and MEGT procedures

Required profile

• Experience in account management, business development or similar
• Knowledge of the VET sector or Australian Apprenticeships (highly regarded)
• Current driver's licence and ability to travel
• Enthusiastic, self-motivated, able to work independently and build trusted relationships
