Administration Officer

About the role

Aegis Alfred Carson, a residence in Claremont run by the Aegis Aged Care Group, is looking for a positive and enthusiastic Administration Officer. The role supports reception, rostering, admissions and daily operations, working closely with the Facility Manager and the wider team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide a professional and friendly reception for residents, families, visitors and staff.
• Handle new resident admissions.
• Create and maintain fortnightly staff rosters, manage master rosters and daily allocation sheets, and cover sick calls and other shifts.
• Manage sick leave, parental leave, shift swaps and permanent shifts.
• Carry out administrative functions such as rostering, payroll preparation, compliance and staff interaction.
• Handle filing, archiving, staff onboarding and offboarding, and manage agency staff.
• Schedule students across the facility during placements.
• Assist the Facility Manager and other senior staff as required.

Required profile

• Extensive knowledge of rostering practices and systems, with strong problem-solving ability.
• Experience in front-facing administration or reception in a fast-paced environment.
• Passion for quality customer service and strong relationship-building skills.
• High accuracy and data entry skills.
• Intermediate computer skills; aged care experience is desirable but not essential.
