Program Officer - Data and Research Services

About the role

The Sax Institute, an independent Australian not-for-profit organisation, is hiring a Program Officer for its Data and Research Services Division. The role sits within the administration and client services for two flagship programs: the 45 and Up Study, Australia's largest longitudinal study of ageing, and SURE, a secure computing environment for large-scale health research. It suits someone wanting to build on existing administration experience, with a focus on client and contracts administration in the health sector.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to researchers and clients on applications, contracting, invoicing and requests for information
• Coordinate delivery of the programs, including contract administration and management, project tracking, reporting and administrative support to the team
• Review and refine processes with the team to improve the programs
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders and follow up on client engagement opportunities
• Maintain accurate contract management records
• Support the Deputy Director Operations on projects and reports

Required profile

• Proactive and organised, with excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• Customer service skills, solutions oriented, in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in contract administration and/or licensing, including support for negotiations, variations, renewals and fiscal management
• Demonstrated experience in program management and/or coordination, with initiative and task prioritisation
• Advanced computer skills, including MS Access and other Microsoft Office programs, databases and office management systems
• Tertiary qualification and/or experience in a health program or research environment highly regarded
