Accounts Receivable Officer

About the role

Hunter Douglas is seeking a proactive and detail‑oriented Accounts Receivable Officer to join its finance team on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. The role will manage end‑to‑end receivables, support cash‑flow management and work closely with internal teams and customers to resolve payment and claim issues.

Key responsibilities

• Allocate daily customer payments accurately and promptly.
• Monitor aged receivables, follow up on overdue accounts and support collections.
• Assist with credit applications, reviewing and processing customer credit requests.
• Negotiate and document payment plans where required.
• Investigate and resolve customer claims, including pricing, returns and delivery issues.
• Prepare and distribute customer statements, perform AR reconciliations and support month‑end close activities.
• Maintain documentation for audits, credit control and high‑risk account escalation.

Required profile

• Strong problem‑solving attitude with ownership of issues.
• Excellent communication skills for internal and external stakeholder interaction.
• Understanding of operational and goods‑flow processes in a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
