Accountant – Finance Team (Sydney)

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Accountant to join Zoomlion’s finance team in Sydney. In this hands‑on position you will manage the full spectrum of accounting activities for our Australian subsidiary, ensuring accurate reporting, tax compliance and strong business partnership with local and global stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and management reports in line with Australian accounting standards.
• Manage tax compliance including BAS, IAS, FBT and corporate tax, and coordinate audits and interactions with the ATO, external auditors and banks.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow management, performing variance analysis to inform business decisions.
• Oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations such as accounts payable/receivable, payroll reconciliations, employee expense claims, bank reconciliations and fixed‑asset register maintenance.
• Utilise SAP or other ERP systems to maintain robust financial controls and continuously improve accounting processes.

Required profile

• CA or CPA qualification (or in progress) and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience within an Australian context.
• Strong knowledge of Australian tax law, ATO engagements and transfer‑pricing documentation.
• Australian Permanent Residency or Citizenship.

Required skills

• Proficiency in SAP (or comparable ERP system).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• High competency with the MS Office suite.
