Account Manager - Mining & Heavy Equipment (12-Month Contract)

About the role

BTP, an Australian-owned supplier of equipment, parts and specialist services to the mining, earthmoving and construction sectors, is hiring an Account Manager on a 12-month maximum-term contract providing maternity leave coverage. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, you will be the trusted point of contact for customers and help grow the Parts, Service and Equipment Rental businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and strengthen an established portfolio of customer accounts, acting as their first point of contact
• Identify opportunities to increase revenue through parts sales, service solutions and equipment rental
• Understand customer requirements and recommend practical, commercially competitive solutions
• Proactively engage with customers and anticipate their needs
• Work with internal teams to coordinate enquiries, quotations and customer requirements
• Develop and execute account plans that strengthen loyalty and support business growth

Required profile

• Proven experience in account management, parts sales or customer-facing roles in mining, heavy mobile equipment, earthmoving or related industries
• Sound understanding of mechanical components, parts and equipment used in heavy mobile mining machinery
• Strong relationship-building skills and commercial awareness, including negotiation
• Excellent organisational skills for managing enquiries and quotations

Required skills

• Experience with Salesforce or a similar CRM platform
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results
