Account Manager - Mining Equipment

About the role

Hitachi Construction Machinery (Australia) is looking for an experienced Account Manager in Perth to manage key customer relationships, drive business growth, oversee commercial contracts and improve mining fleet performance. The role works closely with customers and internal teams to deliver exceptional service, operational efficiency and long-term customer value.

Key responsibilities

• Develop strategies to achieve business growth and revenue targets.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
• Manage customer contracts, tenders, renewals and commercial negotiations.
• Coordinate technical support and resolution of equipment and fleet issues.
• Monitor fleet reliability, equipment availability and contractual KPIs.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate internal resources to meet customer expectations and contractual obligations.
• Promote workplace safety and environmental compliance.

Required profile

• Mechanical or electrical trade qualifications.
• Strong knowledge of large mining equipment.
• Management experience in the mining or construction industry.
• Proven experience managing large corporate accounts.
• Experience in change management and continuous improvement.

Required skills

• Strong commercial, negotiation and relationship management skills.
• Excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving abilities.
• Maintenance management system experience (desirable).
