Account Manager

About the role

BlueScope Distribution is seeking an Account Manager to manage and grow a portfolio of customers across the greater Brisbane region. This customer‑facing role involves extensive travel, building trusted relationships and identifying new business opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow a portfolio of customers across the greater Brisbane region.
• Spend approximately four days each week on the road, connecting with customers and identifying new opportunities.
• Develop new business while strengthening established accounts.
• Maintain customer and sales activity using Salesforce.
• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver excellent customer experiences.

Required profile

• Previous experience in account management, business development or external sales.
• Strong relationship‑building skills and a genuine interest in understanding customers.
• Ability to work autonomously, organise a territory and manage a busy week on the road.
• Proactive approach to developing new opportunities and growing existing relationships.

Required skills

• Experience using CRM systems such as Salesforce.
• Exposure to SAP (advantageous).
