Vice President – Investment Banking Boutique

About the role

This senior position leads M&A and capital raising mandates for a boutique advisory firm focused on mid‑market transactions. Reporting to the Partners, you will manage deals from inception to close and build senior client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Lead execution of buy‑side and sell‑side M&A processes across the mid‑market.
• Manage transaction timetables, counterparties and advisers from preparation through completion.
• Oversee and review financial models, including DCF, LBO and merger analysis.
• Prepare information memoranda, pitch materials and board‑level transaction documents.
• Lead negotiations on valuation, deal structure and commercial terms alongside Partners.
• Run due‑diligence processes across legal, financial and commercial workstreams.
• Lead capital‑raising mandates for PE‑backed and privately owned businesses.
• Build and maintain senior relationships with PE sponsors, founders, management teams and advisers.
• Contribute to origination by identifying opportunities and supporting new business pitches.
• Mentor, manage and develop a small team of analysts.

Required profile

• 6+ years of M&A advisory, investment banking or transaction services experience, with at least 2 years leading deal execution.
• Track record of closed mid‑market or PE‑backed transactions.
• CA or CFA qualification.
• Established network across PE sponsors, corporates and advisers.
• Ambition to progress to a Director role.
