Veterinary Nurse Locum – Gold Coast

About the role

Greencross Vets is looking for an experienced Veterinary Nurse to provide casual locum support across its Gold Coast clinic network. This flexible role offers variety, exposure to different teams and the chance to deliver high‑quality patient care in multiple settings.

Key responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during consultations, treatments, surgeries and procedures.
• Prepare surgical theatres, monitor anaesthesia and support patient recovery.
• Provide medical nursing, hospital care, pathology sampling and diagnostic testing.
• Administer medications, perform dental nursing and radiography.
• Support emergency and urgent care, client service and reception duties as needed.

Required profile

• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years post‑qualification clinical experience.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong surgical nursing and anaesthetic monitoring skills.
• Excellent animal handling, communication and client care abilities.

• Dental nursing.
• Radiography.
• Surgical assistance and anaesthetic monitoring.
