Veterinary Nurse – Casual Position

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Nurse to join our busy, community‑focused clinic on a casual basis. The role offers flexibility for additional shifts and the chance to develop clinical, surgical and client‑care skills.

Key responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during consultations and procedures, including monitoring anaesthesia.
• Administer medications, collect samples, perform diagnostic testing and provide nursing care for hospitalised patients.
• Maintain patient records, manage admissions and discharges, and ensure clinic hygiene and equipment readiness.
• Support clients through routine visits and more challenging situations, and occasionally assist with reception duties.

Required profile

• Certificate II or IV in Veterinary Nursing with prior clinical experience.
• Confident working independently and as part of a team, with strong medical and surgical nursing abilities.
• Excellent animal handling, communication skills and a proactive, reliable attitude.
