Veterinary Associate – Coastal Practice

About the role

Join a busy, well‑established hospital in Port Macquarie, offering a diverse caseload that spans the full spectrum of veterinary medicine, including emergency work, wildlife, and complex general practice cases.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clinical care for a wide variety of animals, from routine appointments to emergency cases such as tick paralysis and trauma.
• Participate in the local after‑hours roster, sharing emergency duties across practices.
• Collaborate with two local specialist vets for advanced surgical referrals and mentorship.

Required profile

• BVSc or DVM (or equivalent) with eligibility for registration in NSW.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical capability.

Required skills

• Ability to manage diverse veterinary cases, including medical emergencies and wildlife presentations.
• Competence in surgical procedures with access to specialist support when needed.
