Triple Zero (000) Call Centre Operator - Morning Shift

About the role

Randstad is recruiting several customer service operators for a Triple Zero (000) call centre in Adelaide CBD, in a newly renovated office close to public transport. You will answer calls from members of the public in times of need, gather the essential details and connect them quickly and accurately to the police, fire or ambulance service. The role suits people who enjoy helping others, can listen actively in a fast-paced environment and want to deliver outstanding customer outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Answer emergency (000) calls and connect callers to Police, Fire or Ambulance quickly and accurately.
• Obtain crucial details from callers and route them to the right emergency service.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a busy call centre.
• Good basic computer skills.
• High resilience, empathy and the ability to stay calm under stress.
• Strong teamwork skills.

Schedule and conditions

• Casual contract with high potential for extensions; full-time hours.
• Two start options: 5:00am-8:00am with 8-hour shifts, or 9:00am-10:00am with 5-hour shifts.
• Minimum 3 shifts per week, chosen from a 7-day roster (Sundays excluded).
• Fixed days and times, with a 10-15 minute break every 70 minutes.
• Full training provided, with opportunities to advance.
• Start date Monday 23 November or Monday 30 November depending on background checks.
