Transport Engineer / Planner

About the role

WSP is looking for an experienced Transport Engineer/Planner to join its Planning & Mobility (PAM) team in Adelaide. The team covers transport planning, traffic engineering, intelligent transport systems, active transport and transport modelling, and the role contributes to high-profile projects in road, public transport, active transport, freight and major infrastructure sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the delivery of transport projects for a wide range of clients
• Prepare high-quality technical reports, analyses and proposals
• Apply technical rigour to studies, including data analysis and review
• Support and mentor junior engineers
• Build positive, collaborative relationships with clients and stakeholders

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in civil or Transport Engineering with about 3-5 years of experience in transport engineering and planning
• Experience working with government and/or private clients in South Australia
• Knowledge of local standards and guidelines, including Australian Standards, Traffic Impact Assessment and Transport Modelling Guidelines
• Familiarity with traffic modelling software such as SIDRA
• Strong communication skills, including technical report writing and client engagement
• Ability to support project delivery, proposals and pursuits
