Site Manager – Long‑term role on $300M defence project

About the role

Design & Build Recruitment is partnering with a leading Tier 1 builder to appoint an experienced Site Manager for a major $300 million defence training facility in Adelaide. You will report to a Senior Site Manager and work alongside four other Site Managers, overseeing significant façade and external building packages.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day delivery of façade and associated construction works.
• Coordinate subcontractors, trades, materials and site resources.
• Drive programme, productivity and construction milestones.
• Ensure works meet the highest safety, quality and compliance standards.
• Resolve technical and construction challenges and manage subcontractor performance.
• Collaborate with engineering, structural and project delivery teams to coordinate interfaces.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Site Manager with a Tier 1 or Tier 2 commercial builder.
• Strong background delivering large‑scale structural and façade packages.
• Experience on defence or similarly complex, highly regulated projects.
• Demonstrated ability to manage significant subcontractor packages on high‑value projects.
