Strategy and Operations Manager

About the role

Oliver Wyman is seeking a Strategy and Operations Manager to join its APR Business Impact Team in Sydney. The role supports regional practice leaders, drives business development, and ensures execution of strategic initiatives across financial services practices.

Key responsibilities

• Support practice heads with day‑to‑day management, communications, and material development for regional and global meetings.
• Coordinate and track practice‑level projects, actions, and special initiatives, ensuring follow‑up and compliance.
• Drive commercial effectiveness by supporting client development, RFP processes, and key account management in partnership with the Asia BD Manager.
• Implement regional and global best‑practice processes, including annual reviews, partner year‑end processes, and change‑management initiatives.
• Collaborate with finance, knowledge management, and talent analytics teams to produce MIS reports and manage investment budgets.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in consulting or professional services, preferably within financial services.
• Strong background in strategic project management and high‑level stakeholder engagement.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain confidentiality, and make decisions under pressure.
• Collaborative team player with a resilient, solution‑focused attitude.
