Senior Workforce Planning Manager

About the role

Lead labour planning and resource optimisation for large‑scale operations in Laverton, ensuring the right people are in the right place at the right time to meet customer and business demands.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and own the end‑to‑end workforce and labour planning strategy.
• Optimise staffing levels in line with operational and customer needs.
• Monitor cost, performance and productivity, adjusting plans as required.
• Collaborate with Operations, HR, Transport, Logistics and agency partners on hiring forecasts.
• Drive continuous improvement in planning processes and systems.
• Provide insightful reporting and data‑driven decision support to senior leaders.
• Act as a change leader during organisational transformation.
• Develop, coach and inspire a high‑performing planning team.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in labour/workforce planning, including leadership experience.
• Tertiary qualifications in Business, Operations Management or related discipline.
• Strong analytical capability and data‑driven decision making.
• Proven success in leading teams and building capability.
• Experience managing change in dynamic operational environments.
• Ability to engage, influence and partner with senior stakeholders.
• Continuous improvement mindset focused on operational efficiency.
