Senior Water Infrastructure Engineer – Northern Queensland

About the role

AECOM is seeking an experienced Senior Water Infrastructure Engineer to join its Water Infrastructure team in regional Queensland. The role involves delivering major water and wastewater projects across North Queensland and beyond.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver pipelines, pump stations, storage reservoirs, and treatment facilities.
• Lead projects from business development through design to construction, managing commercial and budgetary aspects.
• Provide technical leadership and ensure quality, timely, and cost‑effective outcomes.
• Mentor junior staff and build strong client relationships.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary engineering qualification; RPEQ or CPEng highly regarded.
• Proven experience managing complex multidisciplinary water infrastructure projects.
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Interest in long‑term growth within a global organisation.

Required skills

• Water infrastructure design (pipelines, pump stations, reservoirs, treatment plants).
• Project management and commercial oversight.
• Technical leadership and mentorship.
