Senior Transmission Line Engineer

About the role

Join Aurecon’s NSW & ACT Energy team in Sydney as a Senior Transmission Line Engineer. You will lead the design and delivery of high‑voltage transmission projects that support Australia’s growing renewable energy grid.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design of HV transmission line projects ranging from 33kV to 500kV.
• Support bids and tenders for utility maintenance packages and Design & Construct programmes.
• Apply Australian Standards and PLS software to develop detailed engineering solutions.
• Collaborate with state utilities, contractors, joint ventures and alliances.
• Mentor early‑career engineers and contribute to team development.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in high‑voltage transmission line engineering.
• Strong knowledge of Australian Standards relevant to HV structures.
• Proven ability to lead complex design projects and mentor junior staff.
