Senior Project Manager – Renewable Energy (Wind)

About the role

Octopus Australia is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of utility‑scale wind projects across Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane. You will act as the Owner’s Representative, overseeing projects from Financial Close through to Commercial Operations Date (COD) while ensuring safety, schedule, budget and technical objectives are met.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of wind projects from Financial Close to COD, managing schedule, budget and quality.
• Administer EPC and major supply contracts, handling notices, variations, claims and obligations.
• Own the integrated project schedule, critical path, risk register and issue resolution across engineering, construction, commissioning and grid interfaces.
• Coordinate internal teams and external stakeholders—including network service providers, advisors, contractors and investors—to secure timely decisions and approvals.
• Produce concise monthly reports on progress, cost‑to‑complete, risks and mitigation actions; prepare governance and investor updates linking technical status to commercial outcomes.
• Champion a safety‑first culture and drive continuous improvement in delivery practices.

Required profile

• 8–10 years of experience delivering utility‑scale renewable energy projects, with proven wind project delivery at construction stage.
• Demonstrated ability to manage large, complex projects as an Owner’s Representative.
• Strong commercial and contract management skills, with a focus on risk mitigation and dispute avoidance.
