Senior Legal Counsel

About the role

This is an outstanding opportunity to join an award‑winning legal team as Senior Legal Counsel, working closely with high‑performing lawyers in the Melbourne office.

Key responsibilities

• Support business stakeholders through complex products and commercial arrangements.
• Advise on risk, strategy and provide legal support across competition, marketing, IP/IT, regulatory, corporate and privacy matters.
• Act as a key legal lead and advisor across the business.

Required profile

• 6‑10 years post‑qualification experience, preferably from a top‑tier Australian law firm.
• Strong appetite for advisory work rather than purely transactional tasks.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment with excellent interpersonal skills and business acumen.

Required skills

• Experience in regulatory, corporate/commercial, consumer and competition law.
• Knowledge of privacy/data law and commercial litigation.
