Senior Health & Safety Advisor

About the role

ACCIONA is seeking a Senior Health & Safety Advisor to lead and embed safety practices across its construction projects in Melbourne. Reporting to the Health & Safety Manager, you will work closely with project teams, subcontractors and the Alliance Management Team to ensure a strong safety culture.

Key responsibilities

• Identify hazards and manage risk controls on site.
• Review and approve Safe Work Method Statements.
• Support the H&S Management Plan and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Investigate incidents and close out corrective actions.
• Deliver training sessions and toolbox talks to crews.
• Guide the zone safety advisor and safety trainee.
• Drive continuous improvement in safety culture.

Required profile

• Diploma of Work Health & Safety or related field.
• Current Construction Induction Training (White Card).
• Advanced First Aid certificate, kept current.
• Proven experience in a senior safety role on construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation and standards.
