Senior Financial Analyst

About the role

Join Qantas' Centre of Financial Excellence (COFE) as a Senior Financial Analyst supporting the Fuel Business Unit. This 24‑month fixed‑term position is based at the Mascot campus and offers the chance to influence financial planning, forecasting and reporting in a dynamic aviation environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management reports, actuals and forecasts for the Fuel Business Unit.
• Develop financial plans and conduct analysis to support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Consolidate, validate and report on periodic budgets and statutory reporting processes.
• Maintain robust financial control and governance frameworks.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to provide clear financial advice and insights.

Required profile

• Excellent verbal and written communication with all organisational levels.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage complex financial models with large data volumes.
• Proven analytical skills with experience in forecasting and budgeting.
• High accountability and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Experience using PowerBi and Alteryx is desirable.
