Senior Financial Accountant

About the role

The Senior Financial Accountant will join a high‑performing finance team within a reputable ASX‑listed retail business. You will lead technical accounting matters, manage financial reporting and compliance, and collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Support month‑end reporting, reconciliations and financial close activities.
• Manage half‑year and year‑end ASX reporting, including financial statements and remuneration reporting.
• Coordinate external audit requirements and gather stakeholder inputs.
• Own margin reporting, analysis and forecasting.
• Prepare cash flow forecasts, banking reports and performance insights.
• Deliver sales, operational and management reporting across the business.
• Manage sales targets, bonus calculations and store performance reporting.
• Take end‑to‑end ownership of stocktakes and inventory reporting.
• Conduct ad‑hoc analysis and contribute to business improvement projects.

Required profile

• Strong finance professional with a background in Big 4 or mid‑tier audit.
• 2–3 years of commercial finance experience after starting in external audit.
• CA/CPA qualified or equivalent.
• 5–6 years of experience in accounting/auditing‑related roles.
• Solid technical and financial acumen with a firm grasp of IFRS.
• Experience with ASX‑listed entities is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with non‑finance stakeholders.
