Senior Electrical Design Engineer – ASP3 (HV Services)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to lead high‑voltage (HV) services on complex industrial, data‑centre and healthcare projects. The role offers the chance to become an ASP3‑accredited engineer through structured training while working across the full project lifecycle from concept to construction.

Key responsibilities

• Design HV reticulation, underground and overhead power systems, and substations (chambers, kiosks, etc.).
• Develop transformer connections, private HV rings for universities and hospitals, and lighting upgrade solutions.
• Conduct site surveys and lead client meetings.
• Liaise with network providers such as Ausgrid, Endeavour Energy and Essential Energy.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.

Required profile

• Minimum five years’ experience in Australia as an Electrical (Building Services) Design Engineer.
• Current employment with a consultancy, electricity distribution business or design‑construction firm.
• Eligibility to work in Australia without sponsorship.
