Senior Cyber Security Engineer

About the role

Linde Material Handling, part of the global KION Group, is seeking a Senior Cyber Security Engineer to join its global Cyber Defense Centre team in Huntingwood, NSW. The role contributes to the continuous improvement and long-term security of the KION Group worldwide. It suits a technical security expert who wants a global impact in a fast-paced environment. The position is hybrid: Tuesdays and Wednesdays in the office, the rest of the week from home.

Key responsibilities

• Lead incident response analysis (CSIRT) and vulnerability analysis in a global environment
• Deploy, configure and use SIEM for security use cases
• Manage cyber security incidents and conduct client triage and forensic analysis of attacks
• Take part in the Cyber Security on-call schedule
• Write scripts in languages such as Java and Python
• Use SOAR products and case/playbook development to automate SOC operations
• Apply big data analysis and machine learning to build group-specific security use cases
• Develop and integrate security detection methods for cloud environments such as Azure, AWS and GCP
• Evaluate log correlation, aggregation and analysis results, and apply information security, risk management and privacy practices
• Liaise with internal departments on projects and tasks

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related IT field, preferably with a focus on cyber security
• Demonstrated advanced programming knowledge in Python and Java
• Flexibility to take part in on-call and after-hours meetings regularly
• Ability to travel, including internationally, when required
• Good decision-making and workload management, and enjoyment of a dynamic, international team

Required skills

• SIEM skills are essential
• Preferred: experience with SOAR products
• Solid knowledge of IT security (firewalls, EDR, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanning, forensics and threat hunting)
• Knowledge of frameworks such as MITRE or the cyber-attack kill chain
