Senior Cyber Security Engineer

About the role

Linde Material Handling, part of the global KION Group, is looking for a Senior Cyber Security Engineer to join its Cyber Defense Centre in Huntingwood, NSW. The role is hybrid, with two days in the office and the rest remote, and focuses on protecting KION Group’s worldwide digital assets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead incident response (CSIRT) and vulnerability analysis across a global environment.
• Deploy, configure, and optimise SIEM solutions for security use cases.
• Manage cyber security incidents, conduct forensic triage and analysis of attacks.
• Participate in an on‑call schedule to ensure 24/7 security coverage.
• Develop automation scripts (Java, Python) and SOAR playbooks for a streamlined SOC operation.
• Apply big data analysis and machine learning to create advanced detection use cases.
• Design and integrate security detection methods for cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Evaluate log correlation results and perform detailed log analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT or cyber security.
• Strong programming experience in Python and Java.
• Hands‑on experience with SIEM and preferably SOAR tools.
• Deep knowledge of firewalls, EDR, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanning, forensic analysis and threat hunting.
• Ability to work on‑call and attend after‑hours meetings regularly.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
