Cyber Security Engineer - Vulnerability Management

About the role

Linde Material Handling, part of the global KION Group, is looking for a Cyber Security Engineer - Vulnerability Management to join its global Cyber Defense Centre team in Huntingwood, NSW. The role contributes to the global vulnerability management lifecycle and follows a hybrid arrangement of two days in the office and three days working from home per week.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and run internal penetration tests across infrastructure, web applications, APIs and cloud environments, giving actionable findings and remediation guidance.
• Lead enterprise vulnerability assessments covering systems, applications and cloud, analysing risks to support remediation prioritisation.
• Architect, operate and improve the vulnerability management platform and scanning infrastructure, keeping it scalable and integrated with other security tools.
• Design automation for vulnerability detection, assessment and remediation, and build scripts and tool integrations.
• Evaluate and use AI-driven tools to improve detection, risk prioritisation and assessment.
• Contribute to improving vulnerability management processes, policies and standards, and take part in global Cyber Security team calls (which may be local evening time).

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Information Security or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 5 years of cybersecurity experience with hands-on vulnerability management, penetration testing and security automation.
• Strong offensive security skills (web, API, infrastructure).

Required skills

• Scripting for automation (Python, Bash, JavaScript) and API-based tool integration.
• Familiarity with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) and AI-driven vulnerability tools; OSCP, CEH, GPEN or GWAPT certifications desirable.
